Echte Geschichten statt Bilder im Kopf
AY YILDIZ chose a different way to shape perception. Not through statements. Through stories. With Echte Geschichten statt Bilder im Kopf, the brand created a documentary platform built around nine personal journeys. People with Turkish migration backgrounds. Well-known voices and unknown faces. Different experiences, different realities, different perspectives. No commentary. No politics. No advertising. Just people. Each episode stood on its own while contributing to a larger narrative. Long-form documentaries on YouTube created depth and context. Hundreds of short-form clips across TikTok and Instagram extended the conversation and brought new audiences into the story. What began as content became a system designed to grow through participation, discussion and community engagement. Public figures helped open doors. But the spotlight never belonged to them. It belonged to the stories. From music and business to education, sport, activism and everyday life, each episode explored a different perspective of contemporary Germany. Not stereotypes. Not representations. Real experiences. At the centre was a simple idea. We do not change images in people’s heads by telling them what to think. We change them by giving them something real to see. The conversation did not end with the films. Through stattbilder.de and social media, people were invited to share their own experiences. Viewers became contributors. Nine stories became hundreds. AY YILDIZ did not launch a campaign. The brand built a platform. For visibility. For dialogue. For a more nuanced picture of Germany. A demonstration of corporate responsibility that did not just communicate values. It created connection.
